How can Help Foreclosure Pets save animals?
A flyer is sent via first class mail to homeowners who are in the final stage of pre-foreclosure. The flyer informs them of the Help Foreclosure Pets website and the Pet Connection Board that connects pet owners with individual volunteers for temporary boarding, fostering and adoption.
Possible abandoned foreclosure houses are identified when undeliverable letters are returned. If an animal has been abandoned at an address listed on a returned letter, special attention can be given to that house to make sure there are no abandoned pets at that house.
